Ludhiana, - MLA from Ludhiana (East) Mr. Sanjay Talwar today said that holistic development of the constituency would be ensured for which a roadmap has already been drafted.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, the
MLA, toured the assembly segment, and said that the Local Government
Minister Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu has already given Rs 3568 crore for
the city. He said that out of these funds Rs 800 crore have been
earmarked for the Ludhiana (East) segment alone, which would give a
complete facelift to the segment. He said that people from different
parts of the country reside in this segment due to which the state
government has given its nod for its comprehensive development.
The MLA said the state government has decided to set up a
girls college in the constituency. Likewise, he said that there was a
proposal to set up exhibition centre in the segment and upgradation of
the Sports Complex of GLADA. He also said that illegal encroachments
on the land of GLADA would also be removed shortly.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal said that during
the tour they have visited sector 32, 38, 39-A, Tajpur Road and other
places in the segment. He said that the vacant land of GLADA were also
visited during the tour and a strategy would be chalked out for
ensuring its optimum utilization, for which a meeting would be
convened shortly.
On the occasion Assistant Commissioner (General) Mr.
Amarinder Singh Malhi and Estate Officer GLADA Mr. Navraj Singh Brar
were also present.
