Ludhiana - Multi skill centre in Ludhiana provides much needed skills to trainees especially belongs to rural belt of the district. Situated on Gill road, the centre was started for the students from city, but after prompt response from the youth from villages, the institution has started three courses for rural students too.
Head of the institution Mrs. Swathi Thakur and trainer Jatinderpal Singh said that it was the first institute which trained the students for their self employment as well as provides Rs.109 on daily basis for travel allowance. Presently, 85 students are under training for courses like customer care executive, computer numerical control and
Sewing Machine Operator.
Moreover, more courses like assistant fashion designer , computer accounting , technician , machine operator , trainer , industrial trainer are also being running for all categories as well.
Meanwhile Deputy commissioner Mr . Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal said that the institution started functioning in March 2017 and till now more than 110 students were selected for jobs in reputed companies . Expressing great satisfaction over the results produced by the skill centre , he also said that the hostel facility would also be provided to the boys as the under construction building would be completed soon .
He also made it clear that the Punjab government would also assist the students to start their own units by providing soft loans . Appealing the students to registered themselves for training in the skill centre , Deputy Commissioner has also informed that the students would get the certificate from National skill development corporation of India after successfully completing their training period .
