-ALL BANKS IN DISTRICT HAS DEPOSIT OF RS. 55120 CRORES
-LAST DATE FOR AADHAAR CARD SEEDING IN BANK ACCOUNTS IS MARCH 31, 2018
Ludhiana - To review the progress of Banks and Agencies in Ludhiana district for the 2nd Quarter ended on 30 September 2017 of the financial year 2017-18, a DLRC (district level review committee) meeting was held today at Bachat Bhawan, Mini Secretariat, Ludhiana. The meeting was presided over by Sh. Pradeep Kumar Agrawal I.A.S. Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana and Ms. Surabhi Malik Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dev.), Ludhiana, Ms. Rupinder Kaur ACP Special, Ludhiana and S. Virinder Jit Singh, Zonal Manager, Punjab & Sind Bank, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest of the meeting.
The meeting was convened by Punjab & Sind Bank, which is the Lead Bank of Ludhiana. The meeting was also attended by S. Anoop Singh Chawla, Lead Distt. Manager, Ludhiana,Ms. Narender Kaur, LDO, Reserve Bank of India, Chandigarh, Sh. Vijay Singh, Director R-SETI, Punjab & Sind Bank, Ludhiana, Sh. Jatinder Kumar Takiyar, AGM, Punjab & Sind Bank, B/o Saban Bazar, Ludhiana.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Agrawal talked about Debit Waiver Notification issued on 17.10.2017 and he emphasized & instructed all the banks to link all account holders within deadline given by Reserve Bank of India.
S. Anoop Singh Chawla, Lead Distt. Manager informed that as on 30 September 2017, all banks in Ludhiana district has Deposit of Rs. 55120 Crores, Advances Rs 68331 Crores, Priority Sector Advances of Rs. 26494 Crores, Total Agriculture Advances of Rs. 8406 Crores, Weaker Section Advances of Rs. 6128 Crores, small Farmer Advances of Rs. 3616 Crores, SC/ ST Advances of Rs. 826 Crores.
While extending Credit under different schemes, it is ensured that due share goes to Women, Minorities and SC/ST categories. He said the last date for Aadhaar Card seeding in bank accounts is 31.03.2018, non compliance will attract hold on transaction of account. In 326 accounts financial assistance of Rs. 9 Crores have been granted under PMMY Scheme during the second quarter by various banks.
